Alan Rogers Review

Parkland is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is perfectly situated for exploring all that the stunning South Hams area of South Devon has to offer. Open all year; the site is set within three acres of mature, landscaped grounds with panoramic views over Kingsbridge and Salcombe and the rolling countryside towards Dartmoor National Park.

Explore the market town of Kingsbridge and the historic towns of Dartmouth and Totnes. Ramble along the picturesque South West Coast path. Relax on fabulous beaches; Bantham, Thurlestone, Bigbury, Slapton Sands and Hope Cove. Enjoy an array of attractions, activities and water sports. Indulge in local produce, quality village pubs and fine dining eateries. The site has 50 grass & hard standing pitches with 16 amp electric hook-up and drinking water points for all pitches. Grey and Black waste disposal points (majority of pitches). The site is for adults only (aged 18 and over), and dogs are not permitted on site.

South Hams has plenty to offer all, whether you like to ramble along the stunning South West Coast Path, or the network of pretty green lanes, explore small towns and quaint villages, or perhaps magnificent gardens and historic houses. Family adventure centres and visitor attractions are plentiful, along with sailing, water-sports, fishing and golf, or perhaps you prefer a lazy day on one of the many glorious beaches in the vicinity, with a good meal from many fine establishments in the area to round the day off. The site has a mobile home, bell tent, lodge and shepherds hut available to rent.

Location

Please be careful with the directions on your sat-nav systems, particularly if you are towing. Parkland is tourist signed from A381, which is the best approach from the Devon Expressway (A38). On the A38 (south bound) take the A384 for Totnes. From Totnes take the A381 for Kingsbridge, follow the main road for twelve miles, until you arrive at Stumpy Post Cross, at this roundabout follow the signs to the right (Parkland sign) for another mile where you come to Sorley Green Cross, go straight across at the junction and Parkland is 200 yards on the left-hand side.
