Alan Rogers Review
This small, friendly site is located in parkland surroundings on the eastern side of Twente. It is a green site with very spacious grassy pitches (100-130 sq.m), all with 10A electricity and arranged around two open plan fields. The pitches around the perimeter of the field are shaded by mature trees. There are two small play areas set amongst the pitches, while other facilities include minigolf, a café with terrace and a small animal petting corner. Next to the campsite is a heated swimming pool with a children’s pool, sunbathing area and a sports centre.
The Twickel estate is a stone’s throw from the park and covers more than 4,000 hectares of agricultural land and meadows. There are many marked trails available for hikers, cyclists and riders to enjoy. The attractive park and gardens are open to the public and include a walled kitchen garden, pretty orangery and tea room. The local historic town of Delden is nearby with its many shops, restaurants and well preserved buildings.
