Alan Rogers Review
Parc de Vauchevrier is a municipal site with 80 pitches, located in the attractive town of Château Renault in the northern Loire Valley. The camping area is pleasant with large grassy pitches (mostly with electrical connections) and direct access to the River Brenne. On-site amenities include minigolf and tennis, and a large municipal swimming pool (free to campers) is adjacent. Given the relative ease of access to the A10 motorway (7 km), this site may well appeal for overnight stops. However, this is a good base for exploring the region, located roughly midway between Tours and Blois.
Château Renault, as its name suggests, has a fine château dating back to the 12th century, and the surrounding area is well worth exploration, possibly on foot or by bicycle (a number of routes pass close to the site).
Sanitary facilities include hot showers and facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machine and dryer. Motorcaravan services. Play area. Minigolf. Tennis. Fishing. Sports field.

Leave the A10 autoroute at the Château Renault exit (Number 18) and head north on the D31 until you reach Château Renault (after 7km). The site is well signed in the town.
