Conveniently located only 10 minutes drive from Chester, Oakwood Farm Touring Park is a spacious family friendly site which opened in 2017. Oakwood Farm Touring Park is a spacious all year site located just 10 minutes from Chester, on the edge of the Wirral. It has 18 full-serviced hardstanding pitches for tourers and motorhomes, and there's also 8 grass pitches suitable for tents. Located off the main road, it's convenient to explore the Cheshire Oaks, the Wirral, and a gateway to North Wales. Easy reach to Liverpool and Manchester too. This is a small yet spacious site with good facilities including a café. Take a swift exit from the end of the M56 and pitch up within minutes, how’s that for easy access? With the M53 and A55 nearby as well, Oakwood Farm Touring Park is spectacularly well located for travel from Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales.

Oakwood Farm's location puts it within easy reach not only of major cities but also lots of family-friendly attractions. A perennial favourite is Chester Zoo, 10 minutes' drive away. The 125-acre park is home to more than 15,000 animals, many of them exotic and endangered species, so there's plenty to keep you entertained for a full day. Walking around the city of Chester, four miles away, makes a most agreeable day out too. Stroll on the city's ancient walls, visit the cathedral's falconry exhibit, take a boat trip on the river Dee and admire the famed black and white buildings in Chester Rows. Half an hour's drive and you are on the Wirral and its beaches. All tent pitches have water and electric hook up and are available from March to October. There is a gravel road throughout the site. Caravan pitches are a mixture of grass and hardstanding.

The toilet block has showers, wash basins and wc’s. Chemical toilet. Dishwashing area. Onsite tearoom/café. Wi-Fi free. Dogs allowed. BBQ’s allowed. Three good pubs, Subway, Starbucks and Fuel Station including a convenience store are within easy walking distance. There is a bus stop within 50 yards. Caravan and motorhome storage area. Earliest arrival time 14.00.

Location

Oakwood Farm Touring Park is located around 3 miles from Chester city centre and close to the M56 link to Manchester, Liverpool, the Wirral and North Wales. Exit the A494 at the junction with the A540 Parkgate Road, signposted to Hoylake, Chester and Birkenhead. Follow the Hoylake/Birkenhead signs the site is just after the junction, on the left hand side.
