Alan Rogers Review
In a spectacular position, Nodes Point overlooks Bembridge Bay and is set in 65 acres of parkland running down to the beach. This is a park of 180 holiday homes with a separate area for 70 touring caravans. There is a further large dedicated field for up to 200 tents which runs down to the beach. The caravan pitches are large, level and numbered, all with 16A electricity hook-ups and including 25 fully serviced (hardstanding, water, electricity and TV point). A one-way circular tarmac road leads you round the site which is landscaped and has been cultivated with wildlife in mind.
A permanent warden lives in this same area to assist. Alongside are 30 park-owned rented tents, all well sited and maintained. The latest modern toilet block supplements two older ones and a prefabricated unit – together these are ample. The rest of the facilities and entertainment are in the holiday home area, a few minutes walk away. There is a large stage area for discos and spectacular cabaret shows. With these and the park’s location by the beach, Nodes Point makes for a good family holiday.
Facilities
Together, the toilet blocks have WCs, open washbasins, showers, a family shower room and two baths. Baby room. Suite for disabled visitors. Launderette. Shop. Bar. Restaurant and takeaway. Indoor pool. Adventure playground. Clubs for children. Entertainment. Riding. ATM.
Location
From Ryde, take the A3055. At Bishop Lovett School (on the left), go straight ahead onto B3330 towards St Helens. After 2 miles, as road curves right, turn left into signed entrance.
