Alan Rogers Review
This excellent busy but rural site is attractively located within mature woodland in the heart of the Cotswolds and offers what one would hope for from a camping holiday. Within easy walking distance of the interesting market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, there is ample choice for food and pubs. The town’s main street is part of the Roman Fosse Way. The site has 183 pitches, all with 16A electricity and TV sockets, 171 with hardstanding. A size limit of nine metres for motorcaravans and caravans exists. Milk and ice cream are available from reception. Family recreation facilities include crazy golf, five-a-side football, boules and an adventure climbing frame.
Moreton-in-Marsh is famous for its Tuesday street market and is always a busy town, its main street being part of the Fosse Way. It is only a few miles from the honey-coloured stone villages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold, two of the many interesting Cotswold villages worthy of a visit in this lovely area of England. Tents are not accepted.
The two main sanitary blocks have been renovated and offer excellent facilities. A separate toilet block exists with disabled toilet and baby room containing a small WC and bath with seat for children. Large laundry. Shop. Play area. Crazy golf. Volleyball. Boules. 5-a-side football. Adventure climbing frame. WiFi over site (charged). No kite flying (power cables).
