Alan Rogers Review
A gem of a small but spacious, family run, adults only campsite nestling in the beautiful Périgord Regional Park; you are sure of a very warm welcome here. At the entrance to the site is the old farmhouse, which houses the reception and the toilet facilities. There are only six pitches, all for touring, all with electricity (6A) and all hardstanding, with varying amounts of shade. Lower down, close to a small fishing river, are four very spacious, grassy tent pitches of irregular shape, laid out in a woodland glade.
By day, eagles soar effortlessly in the clear blue sky, while deer hide amongst the forest pines. By night, the sky is transformed into a sparkling, star-studded canopy. There is plenty of chance to relax and recharge the batteries. Leave behind all the cares of the world and venture forth along the many unspoilt forest tracks on foot or by bike. One can also try fishing in the campsite’s own stretch of the River Bandiat, which winds around the site.
One excellent, small toilet block with modern facilities is kept spotlessly clean. Washing machine and dryer. Emergency supplies only. Fishing. WiFi throughout (free).
