Alan Rogers Review

Set in 17 acres and bounded on one side by the River Wye, and over 90 acres of woodland on the other, Lucksall has 139 large, well spaced and level touring pitches, all with 16A electricity and 70 with hardstanding. The river is open to the site with lifebelts and safety messages in evidence. Canoes are available for hire or bring your own (launching facilities); fishing permits may be obtained from reception. A large, fenced playground and a large grassy area for games are provided. A well stocked shop selling a variety of goods is in reception (a mini market is within 1.5 miles) and there is a café/takeaway. A member of the Countryside Discovery group.

Amongst the local places worthy of a visit are the Cider Museum, Hereford Cathedral, King Offa Distillery and Queenswood Country Park. The park is also a good base for touring the Wye Valley, the Black and White Trail and the Cider Route.

Three centrally heated toilet blocks provide top of the range facilities, two separate units with ramped entrances for disabled campers. Family room. Laundry room. Shop and licensed café/takeaway. Free WiFi. Only breathable groundsheets are permitted.
