Alan Rogers Review
Lochlands Caravan Park is situated just off the A90 road, near the town of Forfar. Mr and Mrs Delft moved to this garden centre and caravan park three years ago and during that time have created an excellent, well maintained park suitable for a night visit or a long stay to visit the east coast towns of Arbroath and Montrose. The park is level with 40 marked pitches, several with hardstanding and all with 10A electricity. Dividing the park is a mature hedge with a large grass area which could be used for recreation or camping and there is a well equipped play area.
The entrance to the park is past the coffee shop and garden centre following the caravan sign. Attached to the large shop, which has various gifts for home and garden, there is a most unusual and attractive coffee shop which was originally a horse mill used in the 1800s. Homemade food is served at reasonable prices and, for the gardening enthusiasts, a show of camellias during March and April.
Toilets and showers are in two prefabricated units near the entrance but are clean but basic. Facilities for disabled visitors within shop. Dishwashing area divides units. No laundry. Shop and coffee shop/café (Thursday, Friday and Saturday, all year). Play area.
