Alan Rogers Review
Dancamps Kolding is on the main 170 road running from Christiansfeld to Kolding, so pitches near the entrance can be a little noisy. Further back, high bushes and trees protect you from the road noise. From the entrance it is only eight minutes by bus to the centre of the historic town of Kolding and, being so close to the city, this campsite does not have many amenities. There are 120 level, grass pitches, all for tourers and all with 6/10A electricity. Pitching is in several broad areas divided by high trees, although the pitches themselves are not separated. Access is off gravel roads.
The main attraction of this site is a visit to Kolding with the Koldinghus, an ancient castle with fortress, the Legotøjsmuseet, a museum of 20th-century toys and a nurses’ museum. Many people, especially from Sweden, stay on this site for one or two nights to visit Legoland, which is only 60 km. away.
Toilet facilities are old and have British style toilets, washbasins in cabins and controllable hot showers (DKR 2). Family shower rooms (charge). Baby room. Laundry with washing machines and dryers. Campers’ kitchen. Motorhome services. Basics from reception. Playground. Minigolf. TV and games room. Torch useful. English is spoken. WiFi (charged).
