Alan Rogers Review
This campsite is now permanently closed.
Located in the tiny and picturesque village of Funtana, this peaceful naturist site is part of the Camping on the Adriatic group. Istra has a fine array of facilities and, although there is no pool, it is surrounded by sparkling sea on three sides. The formally marked pitches ring the peninsula and some are directly at the water’s edge giving great views of the island off to the south (early booking is advised). There over 900 pitches on site with 820 for touring, most with ample shade and varying in size from about 90 sq.m. All have 10A electricity and water points are scattered around the site. The ground is undulating and some areas have been cut into low terraces.
Two large, informal and central zones have sloping pitches, some with water and electricity. The pretty town of Vrsar has many points of interest and two small supermarkets. This is a very pleasant site with a peaceful air and eminently suitable for those who just want to relax in the sun.
The Campsite Says...
Site is signed off Porec-Vrsar road 6 km. south of Porec in Funtana. Access for large units could be difficult turning off main road from Porec. If so, go past the signed turning and turn around in the night club car park a few metres further on. The problem is less when approaching from Vrsar.
