Alan Rogers Review
Insel-Camp Fehmarn was developed in 2001, but everything on this well kept site looks brand new. The site is on the East Sea coast at the southern end of the Fehmarn Island. It has 389 pitches, 304 for tourers, on grassy fields. Some are in circular bays, while others are off tarmac access lanes. All touring pitches are fully serviced with water, drainage, cable and electricity (6-16A Europlug) and vary in size from 90–200 sq.m. This is a good site both for families and couples who want to enjoy the long hours of sunshine (1,900 per year) on this bustling island.
There is a full range of amenities, including a large sauna area with a Finn Sauna, Roman steam baths, yoga and massage. In season, there is an extensive entertainment programme for young holidaymakers and many sporting activities like surfing and biking contests take place. A kitesurfing school now operates. A welcoming, modern bar/restaurant serves good value meals. A really good site for a sunny holiday on the German coast.
Two modern toilet blocks with hot showers, open style washbasins, family shower rooms (charged), baby room and facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry. Motorcaravan services. Shop (1/5-30/9, mornings only). Modern style café/restaurant. TV room. Fitness and sauna area. Playground. Full entertainment programme (July/Aug). Boat launching. Sports organised. Kite surfing school. WiFi.
