Alan Rogers Review
Holywell Bay Holiday Park, part of the Parkdean Group, nestles in a valley close to a marvellous sandy beach and the amazing Gull Rocks. The park is elongated in shape, stretching up a valley complete with a small stream and kept very natural with many caravan holiday homes. However, the field at the top provides about 40 touring pitches on level grass marked by white lines with 18 electricity connections (16A). The sheltered and heated outdoor pool with its water slide and paddling pool is an added attraction. A wide range of facilities is centrally situated amongst the holiday caravans.
Entertainment is provided nightly although there are bars, etc in the village. A path leads from the park to the village and beach, which are both very near. Another path leads from the top of the site through the Ellenglaze valley. Holywell Fun Park, great for the children, is just a short distance back up the hill and the hectic resort of Newquay with its well known surfing beaches is a short drive.
Basic toilet block beside the touring units includes a baby unit. Launderette. Shop. Bar and grill. Takeaway. Bar with daily entertainment such as cabaret and quiz nights. Amusement arcade. Pool room. Swimming pool with lifeguards. Play areas. All weather sports court. Children’s club for 5-10 yr olds. All facilities are open when site is open. Public telephones (no mobile phone coverage in valley).
