Alan Rogers Review

Are you looking for a “No Frills” quiet rural site? Then High Onn could be just the one for you. It is a small peaceful campsite with views over the adjacent farmland. Hence it is a great place to unwind and take a long walk along the footpaths of rural Staffordshire taking in the fresh country air. The campsite has all of the basic amenities to ensure you and your family can take a break. The site has facilities for caravans and motor homes. 63 hard standing and grass pitches are available all with 16amp electric hook up. Just 11 miles from the M6 it is both suitable for overnight or extended stays. The pub in nearby Church Eaton serves real ales. This site does not have a toilet block.

Nearby attractions include Weston Park, Cosford Aerospace Museum,  the World Heritage site at Ironbridge and the 26 square miles of Cannock Chase.  In addition to all this, extensive private dog walks will provide the perfect treat for the four-legged members of your family. Walk the towpath of the Shropshire Union Canal.

Non Members may join on site and save £12/night.

Directions

Please only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not sat nav, due to alternative routes being unsuitable for towing. From North and South: Leave M6 at junction 12 onto A5 (signposted Telford, Shrewsbury). Within 6 miles (about 2.25 miles after passing under canal aqueduct) enter right filter lane (avoid right filter lane into the garage) to turn right between the petrol station and Bradford Arms public house (signposted Wheaton Aston, Lapley). Within 2 miles in Wheaton Aston turn left into Marston Road (signposted Marston, High Onn). After 1.5 miles in Marston continue right (signposted Little Onn, Church Eaton). In about 0.5 miles turn left (signposted High Onn, Chatwell, Newport). In 150 yards turn right (signposted High Onn). The Site is on the left in 0.5 miles. Care is required from Wheaton Aston to site, as the lane is narrow with passing places.
