Open all year, Herrfallet Camping is situated on a peninsula and designated nature reserve, on Lake Hjälmaren, one of Sweden’s large lakes. There is a small beach on the site and the atmosphere is friendly and ‘green’. There are 170 pitches of which 165 with electricity hook-ups (10/16A). A few of these overlook the lake, where you can hire boats, canoes, pedal boats and go fishing (free of charge). You can explore the peaceful surroundings by bicycle, which you can hire at reception.

There are 40 large cottages of an excellent standard with many situated close to the beach where you can swim in the clear water. The most special of these cottages is a ‘honeymoon house’ with its own beach, jetty and boat. Five smaller hiker cabins are suitable for couples looking for a short stay. The site’s fully licensed restaurant organises special events, such as barbecue parties and troubadours.

The well-stocked shop next to the restaurant is open during the peak season. There are two walking trails along the peninsula, one 2.5 km, the other 4.5 km.

Follow signs from the E20/E18. Turn off at Sätra exit towards Arboga and cross the river. Follow signs towards Herrfallet/Västermo. 15 km. from Arboga.
