Alan Rogers Review
A large family park, stretching out along the beach on the outskirts of Barmouth. Colourful flowers brighten the steep entrance to this site (help is available to get out if you are worried). Of the 240 pitches, all for touring, 60 are on hardstanding with 10A electricity, and 39 are fully serviced. The beach is only 200 yards away but is separated from the park by a railway line. It can be crossed by pedestrian operated gates, which could be a worry for those with young children.
The quaint old seaside and fishing town of Barmouth is about a 30 minute walk along the prom. Here you will find ‘everything’. Reception will provide leaflets with maps of local walks. Snowdonia National Park and mountain railway, the famous Ffestiniog railway, and castles and lakes everywhere provide plenty to see and do.
Facilities
Two traditional toilet blocks offer adequate facilities for the whole family, including those for disabled campers (a long way from some pitches). Motorhome services. Small shop (Easter-1/11). Play area. WiFi (charged).
