This site is probably one of the most unusual we feature. It is next to the Skånes Djurpark, a zoo park with Scandinavian species. The site is located in a sheltered valley and has 120 large, level grassy pitches for caravans and motorhomes all with 10A electricity (2-pin) and a separate area for about 40 tents. The most unusual feature of the site is one of the sanitary blocks – it is underground! The air-conditioned building houses a kitchen and dining area and sanitary facilities for families and disabled visitors. Apart from these particular facilities, the rest of the site remains more traditional rather than modern. Well placed for the Copenhagen - Malmo bridge or the ferries, this is also a site for discerning campers who want something distinctly different.

The site also has a number of underground, caveman style, eight-bed (dormitory type) holiday units which can be rented by families or private groups (when not in use by schools on educational trips to the Stone Age Village). They open onto a circular courtyard with a barbecue and camp fire area and have access to the kitchens and dining room in the sanitary block. There are good walks through the nature park and around the lakes, where one can see deer, birds and other wildlife.

Facilities

On site there are two service houses: one smaller with toilets and a shower and the other main service house is located underground in the cave village where one will find toilets, showers, sauna, fully equipped kitchen, TV, a big seating area where you can eat and rest. Laundry with separate drying room. Motorhome services. Small shop and cafe. Small swimming pool (15/06-15/08 charge £1.6 per day) There is free Wi-Fi in the reception and in the big service house. Lots of possibilities for activities, one of them being long walks in the beautiful Swedish nature. there are three different grill places. For children's entertainment there is a small football pitch and a playground with an bouncy castle.

Location

Turn off no. 23 road 2 km. north of Höör (at roundabout) and follow signs for Skånes Djurpark. Campsite entrance is off the Djurpark car park.
