Alan Rogers Review
Granton-on-Spey Caravan Park is peacefully situated on the outskirts of the town, with views of the mountains in the distance. There are 125 well-tended gravel and grass pitches for caravans and motorhomes, all with 10/16 amp electricity and 69 offer fresh and wastewater facilities. In addition to this, a number of super pitches also offer 16 amp electricity, Wi-Fi and individual Freesat TV box.
A further 12 pitches are used for seasonal occupation and there is space for 50 or more tents. Trees and flowers are a feature of this attractive, landscaped location. The wardens escort visitors to their pitch and will help to site caravans if necessary. Caravan holiday homes are located in a separate area of the park.
For those who love the great outdoors, Grantown-On-Spey Caravan Park will not disappoint. Family walkers of all abilities are spoilt for choice - from gentle woodland trails and summer strolls across the fragrant moors to rugged scree scrambles of the more challenging variety. A haven for wildlife, the caravan site is in a charming location where you're likely to see red deer roaming freely. There are several golf courses in the area, and anglers can fish for salmon or trout in the famous River Spey. For sightseeing expeditions, you will be conveniently close to the impressive Cairngorms and the skiing village of Aviemore. The world's only Malt Whisky Trail is a must where you can sample many of Scotland's finest whiskies.
The site is a member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club Affiliated Site Scheme but visitors who are not members of the club are also very welcome.
