Alan Rogers Review
Golden Sands is a Haven Holiday Park, located close to the beach and to the popular resort of Mablethorpe. The touring park occupies a small corner to the rear of this extensive site and provides 160 level grass pitches, from basic tent pitches without electricity to super pitches with hardstanding, 16A electricity and fresh and waste water connections. The beach is down the drive, across the road and over the sea dyke. The extensive leisure complex is in the main part of the park, ten minutes’ walk along the road, so a free train is provided.
This will also take you on to the nearby seal sanctuary and (for a small charge) into Mablethorpe. Buses also run past the site and on to Ingoldmells (for Fantasy Island) and Skegness, though it is quicker by car! Other outings by car could include Cleethorpes and Grimsby, the attractive villages of the Lincolnshire Wolds or even the historic city of Lincoln.
Two heated sanitary blocks provide pushbutton showers and open washbasins. Facilities for families and disabled visitors. Motorcaravan services. Small shop provides fresh bread and milk. Fishing. Supermarket and launderette in main park which also has entertainment complex: ‘Show bars’, café, food outlets and bars. Heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Multisports court. Amusement and games room. Adventure playground. Go-kart track. Mini ten-pin bowling. Crazy golf. Bicycle hire.
