Alan Rogers Review of Frontera Park
Frontera Park lives up to its name, as it is situated on the border with Andorra. The site is strung out along the banks of a small river with no reported problems with flooding. There are 230 fairly small grass pitches, 50 for touring, with mountain views, trees giving some shade and 10A electricity. Chalets are situated in the northern part of the site, away from the camping area. The rest of the site is given over to static caravans (some in very poor condition). During the winter this is a good area for skiing in the Pyrenees. In summer there are hiking trails plus lakes and rivers, with many possibilities for wild water canoeing and swimming in this picturesque region.
Andorra is a haven for shoppers due to its special tax concessions and the surrounding mountains of the Cerdanya region of Spain are most impressive. Traditional restaurants in romantic mountain villages are waiting to be visited.
Facilities at Frontera Park
Two toilet blocks have separate areas for women and men. Baby washroom but no facilities for campers with disabilities. Small bar with terrace. Cosy restaurant (open all year, closed Wed). Swimming pool and paddling pool (July/Aug) with grassy sunbathing area. Multisports field. Play area.
Directions to Frontera Park
Site is 8 km. north of Seu d’Urgell and south of Andorra. From Seu d’Urgell take N145 towards Andorra. After 8 km. sign look out for site sign which takes you around a roundabout and into the access road to site.
