Alan Rogers Review

Foreman’s Bridge is a compact park occupying a large, level and grassy meadow surrounded by trees and high hedges which give it a very secluded feel. The park has 42 level pitches, of which 24 are now occupied by caravan holiday homes (seven to rent). The remainder are touring pitches, all with 16A electricity and gravel hardstanding. Up to half of these are occupied on a seasonal basis. The park could be a useful base from which to explore the Fens and to visit Spalding, famous for its annual flower festival held at the beginning of May. At times there can be noise from military aircraft.

Just a 20 minute drive from the site, on the outskirts of Spalding, the Springfields shopping village has some good places to eat, numerous retail outlets and the Festival Garden Centre. From here, there is a water taxi into Spalding town centre. Baytree Garden Centre, close to the village of Moulton, has an owl centre and a large play barn for children. The Butterfly and Wildlife Park in Long Sutton is also worth a visit.

The modern, brick-built toilet unit is spacious and kept clean, providing really large individual shower rooms with seats and washbasins (showers on payment). Laundry room. Gas. Fishing possible in the river running past the entrance. Bicycle hire. Two cottages to rent. Winter caravan storage.
