Alan Rogers Review

Faichemard Farm is an adult only site, idyllically located on the outskirts of Invergarry in the Scottish Highlands. It has been run by the same family since 1935 and visitors can expect a very warm and helpful welcome. There is stunningly beautiful scenery from the 15 level touring pitches, many on hardstanding and all with 10A electricity and its own picnic table. A few pitches look across a pond towards one of the toilet blocks, while a second block is further up the hillside. There is an abundance of wildlife here, and deer, pine martins, red squirrel and even the occasional golden eagle can be seen.

Nearby Invergarry has a post office, a restaurant and bar in the hotel and a petrol station that sells essential supplies. More comprehensive shopping can be done in Fort Augustus (7 miles). Walkers and cyclists are well catered for with the Great Glen cycle Route and the Great Glen Way close at hand.

Facilities

Two modern, heated and well equipped toilet blocks have very large showers, shaver points and hairdryers. One block also has an en-suite unit for disabled visitors. Close to reception is a large undercover area with a laundry and a fridge/freezer. Free WiFi over site. Dogs are welcome on a short lead.

Directions

From Fort Augusta or Fort William turn off A82 at Invergarry onto A87. Go through village. The sign for Faichemard Farm points to a right turn up a slope and it becomes a single track road. Follow this good road uphill passing a number of entrances until you see site sign on right. Site is further along this road.
