Alan Rogers Review

Fully refurbished and landscaped, this park offers 76 level, spacious pitches, 51 of which are hardstanding and eight fully serviced. Easy access to the A1M and the A690 make it an ideal stopover for those travelling north or south, or for visiting the historic cathedral city of Durham, the Beamish Museum and for shopping at the Gateshead Metro centre. A coppice of mature trees and newly planted shrubs mask most of the road noise and make an attractive dog walking area. The park has been redesigned with attention to detail throughout, offering pockets of privacy and a central area with picnic tables and benches.

A purpose built central block offers spacious, heated, modern and clean facilities. For younger visitors, there is a play park and less than ten miles away they will enjoy a visit to the Broom House Farm Adventure Trail.

The single sanitary block is a heated building with free showers, hairdryers, and private cubicles. Larger cubicle for families. Laundry and food preparation area. Separate baby area and facilities for disabled visitors are via a key entry system. Shop in reception with essentials; bread, milk and newspapers to order. Gas. Secure caravan storage. Play park. WiFi throughout (charged).

From A1M exit 62 turn left for Durham city (A690). After 20 yds. turn right (across dual carriageway A690) – a safer approach for large units, and continue along A690 to next exit 2 miles and return on A690 left hand turn (signed just before A1M).
