Alan Rogers Review

A caravan park which continually maintains high standards, Drumaheglis is popular throughout the season. Situated on the bank of the lower River Bann, approximately four miles from the town of Ballymoney, it appeals to watersports enthusiasts and makes a very good base for exploring this scenic corner of Northern Ireland. This attractive site with 54 pitches is well laid out with trees, shrubs, flower beds and tarmac roads. There are 35 serviced pitches for touring units with hardstanding, 16A electricity, water points and drainage. The marina offers facilities for boat launching, water-skiing, cruising, canoeing and fishing.

Getting out and about can take you to the Giant’s Causeway, seaside resorts such as Portrush or Portstewart, the sands of Whitepark Bay, the Glens of Antrim or the picturesque villages of the Antrim coast road. Ballymoney is a popular shopping town and the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre provides a high-tech fitness studio, sports hall, etc. There is much to see and do within this borough and of interest is the Ballymoney Museum in Townhead Street.

Three modern toilet blocks are very clean and well maintained. Facilities for disabled visitors. Baby changing facilities and four en-suite shower rooms. Washing machine and dryer. Basic shop. Play area. Barbecue and picnic areas. Barrier with key system. Fishing. Boat launching. WiFi throughout.
