Alan Rogers Review
Please note this site no longer accepts touring caravans, it is now a holiday resort with chalets.
This site is well situated within walking distance of Breskens and it has direct access to sand dunes and the beach 500 m. beyond. It has 80 touring pitches and these are kept apart from the static caravans. All have electricity (6A) and cable TV, 27 also have water and waste connections. They are laid out in fields which are entered from long avenues that run through the site. Cars are parked away from pitches. One toilet block serves the touring area. The site entrance complex includes reception and information about the children’s entertainment programme.
The ferry link to Breskens from Vlissingen takes pedestrians and cyclists only, a tunnel is now open for motor vehicles. You could also visit the ancient towns of Brugge and Gent which make comfortable day trips. The area is renowned for its excellent provision for cyclists, and excursions along the dunes and through the various nature reserves are safe and secure.
One large sanitary block provides showers, wash cubicles, child size washbasins, baby room, en-suite unit for disabled visitors, laundry, dishwashing and vegetable preparation areas. Motorhome services. Well stocked supermarket (25/3-30/10). Bar. Restaurant and takeaway (all year). 10-pin bowling. Indoor pool with fun pool and mini-slide. Wellness area with sauna, hot tub and solarium. Tennis. Play area. Organised entertainment in July/Aug. Bicycle hire. WiFi over site (charged).
From the east and the Terneuzen end of the Westerschelde Tunnel, take N61 west towards Breskens. At Schoondijke continue north on N676 to Breskens. Site lies 1 km. west of Breskens (signed).Link to campsite location map on google
