Alan Rogers Review
The entrance to Dornafield leads into the charming old courtyard of a 14th-century farmhouse giving a mellow feeling that is complemented by the warm welcome from the Dewhirst family. It is a haven for those seeking a quiet, restful holiday. There are 119 fully serviced hardstanding pitches (10 amp Europlug) and 16 reasonably level grass pitches for tents in a walled orchard. At the top of the site are large luxury pitches with all facilities, including cleverly concealed TV connections. There are two super, well maintained woodland adventure play areas.
The site is a member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club Affiliated Site Scheme but visitors who are not members of the club are also very welcome.
The reception, shop, tourist information/ecology room have been sympathetically converted from farm outbuildings, with the games room from the old milking parlour, complete with stalls. The rural situation is delightful. A park that is well worth consideration and a member of the Best of British group.

Shop. Gas supplies. All-weather tennis court. 7 acres for dog walking. Games room. Play areas. Wi-Fi, charged. BBQs allowed gas, charcoal & electric. TV room. TV reception booster system. Late-night arrivals area. Twin axle caravans accepted. Bus stop 800 metres. Train station 3 miles. Tesco 4 miles. Earliest arrival time 12 noon. Maximum outfit length 10 metres.Tents allowed.
Please do not use sat nav from the roundabout at Penn Inn, Newton Abbot. Leave the M5 at junction 31(end of motorway). Continue onto A38. In 2.75 miles leave via slip road onto A380 dual carriageway (signposted Torquay). In 9.75 miles after crossing River Teign, turn right at roundabout into centre of Newton Abbot. Follow signposts to A381 (Totnes). In 2 miles at Two Mile Oak Cross turn right by Two Mile Oak Inn; within 0.5 mile at crossroads (just past 2 large houses) turn left (signposted Dornafield). Please take care due to narrow road. The site is on the right in 90 metres.Link to campsite location map on google
