Alan Rogers Review

This is a very pleasing, small touring park, surrounded by green fields, yet only five minutes away from Killarney town. There are many trees and shrubs around the park, but dominant is a magnificent view of the MacGillicuddy’s Reeks. There are 30 pitches for caravans and tents, 30 with hardstanding and a grass area for awnings, electricity (10A Europlug), water points and night lighting. One pitch is designated for disabled campers with a specially adapted en-suite facility. Unusually, old school desks are placed in pairs around the site as picnic tables, plus an antique green telephone box. One can enjoy walking through the oak wood, fishing on the Flesk or visiting the site’s own National Farm Museum.

There is a pleasant, old-fashioned charm about White Villa park. Some visitors might fondly describe it as ‘camping as it used to be’, while others might argue that ‘camping as it should be’ would better suit, since most of White Villa’s facilities compare well with any competitor in the area.
