Alan Rogers Review
This site is immaculate. The 50 pitches on well cut grass are all of a very generous size and all have water, drainage and 6A electricity. On the banks of the Ardèche, the site is part of a holiday complex which includes a hotel and conference centre separated by a 300 m. driveway. Out of season it is very quiet, but in July and August a bar, takeaway and restaurant, together with an entertainment building, become the focal point of the evenings. There are 115 mobile homes for hire (some tour operators).
The hotel complex has an outdoor pool of a modern design which is available to camping customers at no cost, as are minigolf and tennis. Canoe hire is possible on the river. In season there is a shop attached to the bar complex. Out of season the village is about 500 m. with the usual shops and an ATM machine. Although there is no need to dress for dinner, this site has an air of formality which will appeal to some readers.
Two excellent, modern sanitary blocks of an unusual design are kept very clean. Well equipped laundry room. Fridge hire. Bar, takeaway, restaurant and shop (July/Aug). At the hotel: outdoor swimming pool (14/5-15/9) and indoor pool (all season), minigolf and tennis. Play area of generous size. Internet access. Charcoal barbecues are not permitted. Free shuttle bus to water park. WiFi over site (free).
