Alan Rogers Review

Deepdale Camping is a quiet, family friendly campsite on the North Norfolk coast, and is open all year for tents and small campervans (caravans are not accepted). These 75 standard pitches are no larger than 6.5 m. (including guy ropes) while the ten additional jumbo pitches accommodate larger tents up to 10 m. There are no electricity hook-ups and generators are not allowed. The site occupies five well kept paddocks in the heart of the beautiful village of Burnham Deepdale, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Accommodation can also be hired in the form of four yurts, six teepees and two shepherd’s huts. The complex also has two hostels for backpackers with full kitchen facilities and heating during the winter.

The village has a ‘fish shed’, and a wide choice of pubs and restaurants can be found not far along the coast towards Wells-next-the-Sea and Sheringham to the east, and Hunstanton to the west. The attractive village of Burnham Market is a short distance inland. The area is, of course, famous for its nature and bird reserves, and is popular with walkers, cyclists and watersports enthusiasts. There are several historical properties that are well worth visiting and the North Norfolk Railway operates a steam service between Sheringham and Holt.

Heated sanitary facilities with showers (including family shower), dishwashing and washing machine. Information centre with details of walking and cycling trails, Camping Gaz and camping equipment, and eggs from the resident chickens. Bicycle hire. WiFi (free).
