Alan Rogers Review

This peaceful little park is located on the northern edge of Dartmoor with easy access from the A30. It is sheltered from the weather by good hedging and, although not always visible from the pitches, there are open views across the moorland to the south. The 63 pitches are mostly on level grass, well spaced, with 25 hardstandings and 38 electric hook-ups (10A). Shrubs divide some of the pitches. This is a Club site, but non-members are welcome. The site would be a suitable base for visiting Exeter, Okehampton and Plymouth, hiking over the moors or just enjoying the local area.

The Two Moors Way for walkers is only 400 yards from the site. The owners have compiled a book with over 60 things to see or do, which is very popular. The Exeter/Okehampton bus can stop outside if requested.

The single heated toilet block is well maintained and provides all facilities including a well equipped room for babies and disabled campers. Laundry. Motorcaravan services. Small shop for basic groceries, ice-creams, drinks, small camping items and gas. Breakfast menu and newspapers to order for following day. Games room with pool table. Playground. Small library and information chalet. WiFi. Only small American RVs (up to 30 ft) accepted.
