Alan Rogers Review

For adults only, this pretty, tranquil park in the Camlad Valley has panoramic views, and is an ideal base for walkers. Attractively landscaped with traditional English flower beds and many different trees and shrubs, this small park has been carefully developed. The Welsh hills to the north and the Shropshire hills to the south overlook the three fields which provide a total of 84 pitches. The field nearer to the road (perhaps a little noisy) is slightly sloping but there are hardstandings for motorcaravans, while the second field is more level. All pitches have 16A electricity, water and waste water drainage and TV hook-up. Camping pods are also available for hire.

With many walks in the area, including Offa’s Dyke, a series of walk leaflets is available centred on Bishop’s Castle three miles away. The owners will site your caravan for you and there is a late arrivals area with hook-up. The code for the security gate at the entrance is obtained at registration. Although technically in Wales, the park is 500 yards from the Shropshire border, an area rich in history.
