Alan Rogers Review
This is a very quiet family run site hidden deep in the countryside. The 25 tent and caravan pitches are mostly level and split into three areas across the ten-acre site. Most have shade provided by mature trees and electricity connections (6A). There are three African Safari tents, a mobile home, a bijou chalet and a caravan for hire. Also available are a communal meal, pizza night and a barbecue three times a week, burger and chips at various times during the week in the terrace Grill Bar and outdoor pizza oven. The campsite has also had newly renovated shower and toilet facilities. The pool has had a new decked sun terrace built.
The nearby fortified villages of St. Ybars and Le Carla-Bayle are well worth a visit, as are the better known historic towns of Mirepoix, Foix and Carcassonne. The capital of the Midi-Pyrénées, Toulouse, known as the Rose city is just 40 km. away and ideal for major shopping excursions. There are many interesting grottoes, churches and castles in this alluring region, with the dramatic mountains of the Pyrenees providing a glorious natural backdrop.
Renovated sanitary facilities. Washing machine. Fresh bread. Communal room with bar and ice-cream. Swimming pool and children’s pool (high season). Sauna. Bar (Apr-Sept). Pool table. Sports field. Communal meals and barbecues. WiFi in bar.
