Alan Rogers Review
Corfe Castle Camping & Caravanning Club site lies at the foot of the Purbeck Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has proximity to the Blue Flag award-winning Studland Beach with four miles of glorious sand and bustling Swanage with its pretty beach huts. Lulworth Cove and the iconic Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coastline are a must. A leisurely 15 minute walk from the site finds you at Corfe Castle, an impressive ruin from the English Civil War whose iconic silhouette can be seen from miles around. The pretty grey stone village of Corfe Castle lies in the shadow of the romantic castle ruins. Around its square are a cluster of tearooms, trinket shops and pubs. Boat owners, please be aware there is an additional pitch fee policy. No cycling allowed on site, but bikes can be ridden along the footpath to Corfe Castle, which runs directly from the site. The site has 80 grass or hardstanding pitches, most with an electric hook-up point.
Non-members are welcome and may join on-site. Please speak to site staff for details and to check pitch availability before arrival.
The site has an abundance of wildlife, including badgers and owls, near the Arne RSPB Nature Reserve, making this a great spot for lovers of the outdoors. Nearby, Kimmeridge offers a marine reserve and snorkelling whilst Poole Harbour has water sports for the more adventurous.
