Alan Rogers Review

A small site managed by the Caravan Club as part of its ‘affiliated site’ scheme, Coed Helen is a separate part of a large company-owned holiday home park. There are 50 pitches for caravans and motorcaravans all with 16A electricity, on a gently sloping grass meadow with views towards Snowdonia. Two hardstandings are available; tents are not accepted. The great advantage of this site is that it is within walking distance of Caernarfon town via a footbridge.

A park home style unit houses the toilet facilities which are kept clean and tidy by the wardens. Small laundry, vegetable preparation and dishwashing sinks, but no facilities for baby changing or disabled visitors. There are steps up to the facilities and no ramps. Drive-over motorcaravan service point. Gas stocked. The adjacent holiday homes park has a shop, and campers can use the playground, the lounge bar, and the outdoor heated swimming pool (open May-Sept).

From Caernarfon take A487 south towards Portmadog and after crossing river bridge take first right into Fford Pant Road (site is signed), and immediately right again into Coed Helen Road. Continue for 0.5 miles to T-junction, where site entrance is on left.
