Alan Rogers Review of Cedar Gables Campsite
Cedar Gables Campsite is a small family-run site on the Kent-Sussex border, with excellent facilities, surrounded on three sides by trees. Footpath to Bewl Water. Usually busy at weekends, so be sure to book. This is a quiet site, so not the place for late-night parties. There are many places to visit in the area and a lot of off-road cycling. It does not have a dog walking area, but there is a public footpath nearby.
Local attractions include Bewl Water, Scotney Castle, Bedgebury Pinetum, Bedgebury Forest, Bodiam Castle, and Sissinghurst Castle. Lamberhurst Vineyard, Batemans, Tunbridge Wells, Rye, Hastings. Bexhill and Eastbourne. The site has 27 touring pitches, of which 17 have electric hook-up points. There is also a shepherd’s hut available to hire. The site does not accept twin-axle caravans or 5th-wheel units.
