Alan Rogers Review
Campingpark Zuruf has a pleasant location beside one of the many lakes in this area, the Mecklenbürger Seeplatte. It is an ideal base for watersports enthusiasts. There are 300 pitches (150 for touring units, all with 10A electricity), with seasonal pitches in a separate area. Touring pitches are on two long fields and two circular fields and there is a separate tent area for youngsters away from other pitches. The level, grassy pitches are separated by high hedges and mature trees, providing useful shade. Some pitches have good views across the water. The site does look a little disorganised and with heavy rain the ground can become muddy.
However, the people are welcoming, friendly and working hard to develop the site. There are many motor boats, rowing boats, canoes and pedaloes for hire, and a trailer ramp with a jetty is provided. This site is still very much in development, but one of the two toilet blocks has been refurbished and at the other block, the ladies’ section has been renovated to high standards.
Two heated toilet blocks with British style toilets, washbasins (some in cabins) and controllable hot showers (token from reception). Attractive children’s section with baby room. Facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry. Motorcaravan services. Shop. Takeaway. Clubroom with high season entertainment programme for children. Lake swimming. Watersports (canoes, motor boats, pedaloes and sailing boats for hire). Lake with beach for swimming. Bicycle hire. Boat launching. Playground. Activities for children (July/Aug).

From Berlin, take the A24 north and at exit 18, continue on 103 road towards Plau. Just before entering Plau, turn right towards Plötzenhöhe and follow signs to site.
