Alan Rogers Review
Camping Weltevreden is on Zeeland’s Riviera, the area of the Dutch coast with the highest recorded annual hours of sunshine. It is a family site with a pleasant ambiance, located just behind the high, grassy dunes between Zoutelande and Westkapelle. This attractively landscaped site is only 100 m. from the sandy North Sea beaches. There are 144 pitches (50 for tourers) on well kept, grassy lawns, connected by narrow tarmac roads. Separated by a variety of low bushes and shrubs, all the touring pitches have 6A electricity, water and drainage. The site is divided into two areas divided by the toilet block and reception.
As well as the beach, Zeeland’s dunes here are excellent for walking and cycling. The world famous Delta Works which protect the Netherlands from the sea are an interesting excursion, and the attractive old fishing towns of Veere and Vlissingen are nearby. Domburg offers the Zeeuws Museum and museums with paintings by Mondriaan and Toorop. You will enjoy the little gift you receive when leaving this site – it would be hard to find anywhere else in Europe.
One central, modern toilet block with British style toilets, washbasins (open and in cabins), free hot showers, baby room and special section for children. Laundry facilities. Well stocked shop. Boules. Basketball. Table football. Small play area. Dogs are not accepted. English is spoken. Chalets for hire.
