Located on the so-called Isola Varano, a long strip of land less than a kilometre wide with a sandy Adriatic beach on one side and Lago di Varano on the other, 5 Stelle is a large, natural site with 255 pitches. There are 150 touring pitches located in a mature, wooded area, all unmarked but with 6A electricity supply throughout. Available to rent are 105 bungalows and mobile homes, as are 48 private bathrooms. The only road on the Isola runs the length of the site, so some traffic noise is inevitable but it is not too intrusive. In low season this is a quiet site with few facilities open.
However, during June, July and August an extensive entertainment programme provides for the many families who visit the Gargano National Park which adjoins the Isola. A sandy beach for campers is about 100 m. away across the road and through the small coastal wooded area. A large holiday village next to the site shares the common access.

Three sanitary blocks and 48 private bathrooms (to rent) provide ample toilets, hot showers and washbasins. Restaurant, shop and bar in high season. Swimming pool (1/6-15/9). Tennis. Football area. Disco. Entertainment. Beach 100 m. Bungalows and mobile homes to rent.
Location
Leave the A14 at Poggio Imperiale and follow signs for Viesti and Peschici. After 21 km. turn north on road to Torre Mileo. Site is on the Isola Varano and is well signed.
