Alan Rogers Review
Camping Venezuela is a comfortable and well-maintained campsite located in Maliak Bay, right on the beach of Agios Seraphim and at the foot of Mount Knimis. Athens is a couple of hours away and makes a memorable day trip. This region is known for its beaches, mountain scenery and thermal springs. Take a boat trip to the neighbouring islands, enjoy snorkelling, explore the archaeological monuments and go hiking and cycling in the Oitis National Park. Visit the thermal springs near Kamena Vourla and the Monument of Leonidas, just 10 km from the campsite, commemorating the legendary battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC.
Hedges and colourful shrubs separate the 90 well-demarcated pitches, and all have 5 amp electricity connections with some shade offered by the eucalyptus, poplar and olive trees dotted around the campsite. The campsite has a mini market on-site and a ‘campers kitchen’ if you wish to prepare a quick meal. Alternatively, you can visit the on-site taverna ‘L Holevaina’, which has a good menu offering local Mediterranean cuisine and seasonal grills.
Toilet blocks with hot and cold water. Washing machines. Campers kitchen. Shop. Restaurant. Bar. Takeaway meals. Small children's play area. Maximum 2 dogs per pitch. WiFi.
