Alan Rogers Review

The town of Mariánské Lázne (better known among westerners as Marienbad) is an old-style health resort in the heart of Western Bohemia, a region full of historical and natural beauty. The town became popular as a spa resort between 1870 and the 1920s, with around 100 mineral springs. However, this is not the only reason to stay at Camp Stanowitz. This cosy, family size campsite has only 30 pitches, all with 10A electricity, in a slightly sloping, unmarked apple and plum orchard (look out for falling fruit in the Autumn) Drainage is good. The owner makes a real effort to show off his beautiful country to interested visitors and probably has more brochures than the average tourist office. Attached to the site is a pension and a small restaurant, which offers a limited menu, but receives positive reports from visitors.

Modern, heated toilet block with free hot showers. Washing machine. Restaurant/bar. Riding. Internet. Free WiFi. BBQ's permitted. Max 2 Dogs allowed. No children's entertainment program.
