Alan Rogers Review

Close to Rome, this site has both quiet and lively areas on steep slopes set in a delightful, lush green valley, flanked by two of the seven hills of Rome. The 250 well tended pitches for touring units are on steep terraces, mostly shaded, with 6A electricity. Two fine restaurants and the snack bar/pizzeria/takeaway cater for everyone. The site runs a regular shuttle bus and a daily bus to Rome. The pool (extra charge), also with bar snacks, is great for cooling off and relaxing after a busy day in the city.

Arranged in two sections, the top half, near the entrance, restaurant and shop consists of small, flat, grass terraces with two to four pitches on each, with smaller terraces for tents. Access to some pitches may be tricky. The flat section at the lower part of the site is reserved mainly for ready erected tents and cabins used by international tour operators who bring guests by coach. These tend to be younger people, and the lower area, with its often busy pool and disco, has a distinctly youthful feel. Consequently there may be a little extra noise, so choose your pitch carefully. The site is a profusion of colour with flowering trees and shrubs and a good covering of trees providing shade. English is spoken. All cash transactions on the site are made with a card from reception. This is a bustling site and there can be many touring buses with their occupants on site during high season.
