In the province of Overijssel, with its green landscape of ancient forests, fens, moors and farmland, Scholtenhagen is a welcoming campsite near the village of Haaksbergen. The 100 touring pitches (up to 120 sq m.) are set amongst established trees and hedges, which offer some shade, together with many pitches for long term units. All touring pitches have access to electricity (10A Europlug) and 35 also have water and waste water. Next to the site (free tickets from reception) is a leisure pool complex with areas for relaxing and sun bathing together with a sauna and Turkish bath.

Many cycling tracks start from the site and are a perfect way to explore the surrounding countryside and enjoy the flora and fauna. Nearby there are facilities for watersports, tennis and golf. Less energetic activities include sightseeing and shopping in the nearby cities of Enschede, Hengelo and Almelo where there is also a wide selection of bars and restaurants. There is a comprehensive range of on-site facilities which include organised activities for children and adults and an entertainment programme.

Directions to Camping Scholtenhagen

Site is about 15 km. southwest of Enschede. Turn south from the N18 south of Haaksbergen and follow signs to site.
