Alan Rogers Review
San Damiano is a family site and makes an excellent night halt and a suitable base for visiting Bastia, the northeast of the island, or its mountainous interior. Although on the outskirts of a city, it is situated between the Etang de Biguglia and the golden sands of Corsica’s east coast. From the road which cuts through the site, there is a fenced public road leading to the restaurant and the beach. It is a sprawling site with 280 pitches (180 with 10A electricity and 80 fully serviced), all separated by shrubs and shaded by trees. A programme of music each night does not disturb campers. There is some aircraft noise.
What we found pleasing about this site was the great beach access, the friendly reception we received and also its convenient situation only 9 km. from the port of Bastia.
Two toilet blocks (one refurbished), were clean when we visited, include washing cabins and good provision for disabled visitors. Laundry facilities. Motorcaravan services. Well stocked shop (1/6-20/9). Bar and restaurant (from 1/5). Outdoor swimming pool. TV room. Minigolf. Play area. Fishing. Riding. Jet-ski and quad-bike hire. WiFi.
