Alan Rogers Review
Saint Cassian, owned and managed by three generations of the Nadig family, caters mainly for static holiday caravans, but has some room for touring units and is suitable for a night stop when travelling to or from Saint Moritz. The site is on a fairly steep slope but the 60 touring pitches (out of 190) are terraced between the statics under a cover of tall pines. Forty have 10A electricity. Being 1,415 m. above sea level in a north-south valley, this is a peaceful location surrounded by scenic views and abundant sunshine; 140 signed walking paths of various degrees of difficulty start from the site.
Although there is no organised entertainment on the site, there are many opportunities at the holiday resort of Lenzerheide Valbella 3 km. away including tennis, an 18-hole golf course, bars and discos, and a heated swimming pool. The owners are keen supporters of mountain biking and several important competitions are held in the area, but winter sports are the principal attraction to the site. The drive from Chur to St Moritz is challenging but exhilarating.
Small, heated, good quality toilet block with free hot water in washing troughs and sinks and on payment in showers. WCs and showers (on payment) below the reception office. Washing machine and dryer. Dishwasher. Motorhome services. Gas supplies. Excellent restaurant. Torches and long leads useful. WiFi (charged).
Site is 20 km. from Chur on no. 3 Chur-St Moritz road, between Lenzerheide and Lantsch/Lenz.Link to campsite location map on google
