Alan Rogers Review
Reina Isabel can be found just 3 km. from the centre of Granada and just 1 km. from the entrance to the spectacular Sierra Nevada National Park. The site is open for an extended season and is well located for winter sports holidays in the Sierra Nevada. There are 51 shady touring pitches here (each around 70 sq.m), all with electrical connections. There are also 11 bungalows available to rent. A regular bus service operates to the city centre and to other places of interest, notably the Alhambra Palace.
Granada is, by any standard, a fascinating city. Apart from the Alhambra, the palace of Charles V and the UNESCO listed ancient Arab quarter, El Albayzin, are well worth a visit, along with much else in the city. The Sierra Nevada is made up of some of Spain’s most stunning mountain scenery and is ideal walking and mountain biking country.
The single toilet block is clean but the toilet and shower cubicles have large frosted glass panels which are revealing at night. Used paper goes into baskets and not into the toilet. Shop in reception, bar/restaurant/takeaway (all season). Outdoor swimming pool (15/5-30/9). Play area. Bungalows to rent. Excursions available. WiFi.
