Alan Rogers Review
Porto Cesareo is a new site, attractively located in the Salento region of Puglia, to the north of Gallipoli. The site forms a part of Terrestre Palude park and is a short walk from the white sandy beaches of Torre Lapillo bay. The site is well equipped with a swimming pool, self-service restaurant and sports field. There are 300 pitches here, all with 4A electricity, 14 of which are occupied by mobile homes (available to rent). There is little natural shade yet and pitches are therefore equipped with artificial shade and vary in size from 60-90 sq.m.
The city of Lecce is close and is well worth a visit. Lecce is the most important town of the Salentine peninsula (Italy’s heel) and is often known as the Florence of the south, thanks to its cultural riches, many of which date back to ancient Greek and Roman times. Porto Cesareo is an attractive resort with excellent opportunities for sub aqua diving.
Six modern sanitary blocks with hot showers, open style washbasins and facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machines. Motorcaravan services. Bar/restaurant and takeaway. Shop (1/7-20/9). Outdoor swimming pool. TV room. Sports field. Volleyball. Games room. Play area. Mobile homes to rent. Free shuttle bus to beach.
