Alan Rogers Review

This well maintained site is set on a headland, overlooking the sea on one side and the village of Quejo on the other. The 200 well defined small pitches (100 for touring), with little shade, are on two levels. All have 6A electricity and some have sea views. Large units may experience difficulty accessing some pitches. There is direct access via a short flight of steps to the superb beach with its golden sand and rocky pools. The site has an illuminated 500 m. footpath to the village where there are restaurants, shops and bars. Since its opening in 1979 this site has undergone continuous improvement and the owners are justifiably proud of the results.

The lower level consists mainly of seasonal pitches with the upper level currently used to accommodate most of the touring units and tents. A new car park at the site entrance with secure entry by card will allow for more room on pitches.

One modern spotless toilet block is centrally positioned. Family shower room. Washing machines and dryers. Well stocked shop (Easter-Sept). Café/bar (1/7-1/9), with terrace overlooking the sea. Play area. Fishing from adjacent beach. Dogs are not accepted.

From A8 (Santander-Bilbao) take exit at 185 km. marker onto N634 towards Beranga. Almost immediately turn right, CA147 (Noja). At roundabout turn left, CA141, towards Somo/Santander. Turn right, CA449 signed Isla. Site is 5 km. through village. Entrance road is very narrow in places.
