Alan Rogers Review
Forty kilometres south of the ferry port at Messina, Camping Paradise is situated on a long narrow strip along the sea with direct beach access. Most of the pitches have views over the crystal clear waters. The 130 level, grass and gravel touring pitches are fairly small with paved access roads and shade from well established, mainly olive trees. This site with a mountain backdrop is very popular so you may need to book ahead in high season. There is some road noise and the local train runs nearby.
A single sanitary block is located in the centre of the site and, new in appearance, the facilities are of a high standard. An attractive modern restaurant and bar are on the beach with fabulous views. Close to the town of Letojanni, this is an ideal place to stop and plan sightseeing tours to the ancient amphitheatre, Byzantine tomb or Mount Etna. Some of the antiquities in nearby Taormina date from the third century BC and are Greek in origin.
One large centrally located sanitary block has a mix of Squat toilets and British-style toilets, fully adjustable hot showers and Accessible facilities . Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Small shop for essentials. Large bar/restaurant with views over the sea. Lovely pool. Fitness area. Play area. Tennis. Football. Boules. Video games. WiFi on part of site.
From the A18 motorway between Messina and Catania take Taormina exit and then turn north on S114 towards Letojanni. Site is on this road (S114) at 41 km. marker just north of the village of Letojanni. There is quite a sharp bend on entering the site and a 3.4 m. bridge.Link to campsite location map on google
