If you enter Poland from the Czech Republic, Bielsko Biala could well be the first large town you enter. Formed by the joining of the Silesian town of Bielsko and the Galician town of Biala it was once an important centre for the textile industry. It is a good starting point for excursions into the Beskid Slaski Mountains and the local ski lift will take you to the Szyndzielnia peak 1,026 m. (3,300 feet). The site is located south of the town is in a pleasant park area. With 60 pitches for touring in two areas, some between mature trees, the site is quiet and well kept.

Many streets contain miniature versions of old Viennese houses. The castle of the Sulkowski princes is also of interest. If you travel north east from here, about 30 km, you will find Oswiecim which is perhaps better known by its German name: Auschwitz.

The small sanitary block near reception has toilets and showers and is clean and tidy. Small block near the pitches has WCs and washing troughs and one unisex shower. Motorhome services. Bar and restaurant. Small shop with essentials only. Two small unheated swimming pools. Play area. Table tennis, Multisport pitch, Satellite TV. Bicycle hire. Internet access. Pets allowed.

Directions to Camping Ondraszek Nr. 57

Head towards the centre of Bielsko Biala and follow signs for Szczyrk on road 942, heading south. After 4 km, having left the main town, you will see the Parkhotel Vienna on the right. In 300 m. turn right up the hill (signed camping) and at the top turn left to site.
