Alan Rogers Review

A countryside site for naturists near La Roche sur Yon, just right for those seeking a peaceful holiday. It provides 176 pitches (70 for touring) in seven very natural fields, on different levels linked by informal tracks. There are level, terraced areas for caravans and the marked pitches are around the edges, giving a feeling of spaciousness; all have electricity (6/10A) and some may require long leads. The bar/restaurant is in a converted barn. The site’s 125 acres provide many walks throughout the attractive, wooded valley and around the lake.

Children are well catered for with some unusual activities including ghost tours in the woods (main season only). The local area is interesting, with antique Bocage Vendéen and sculpture featuring prominently, and provides a very different view from the hectic coastal Vendée. English is spoken by the Dutch owner and staff.

Fully equipped toilet blocks are good, providing some showers in cubicles. Laundry. Facilities for children and disabled visitors. Small shop. Bar/restaurant with à la carte and full menu (order before 12.00). Takeaway. Heated swimming pool. Sauna. Jacuzzi. Turkish steam bath. Masseuse visits. Fishing. Volleyball, boules and table tennis. Playground. Pony rides. One day a week children can make their own bread. WiFi (€ 2 for password).
